T-shirt competition winners!

Congratulations to Siwan Clarke & Joesph Weller for supplying the best two duck related jokes – T-shirts winging their way to you now!
1. How can you tell if a ducks got soul…..because its bill withers!
2. Three Kicks For a Duck
A big city lawyer went duck hunting in rural Tennessee. He shot and
dropped a bird, but it fell into a farmer’s field on the other side of
a fence. As the lawyer climbed over the fence to collect the bird, an
elderly farmer drove up on his tractor and asked him what he was doing.
The lawyer replied, “I shot a duck and it fell in this field. Now I’m going in to
retrieve it.”
The old farmer looked the lawyer in the eyes and stated firmly, “This is my
property, and you are not coming over here.”
The lawyer huffed angrily, “I am one of the best trial attorneys in the country. If
you don’t let me get my duck, I’ll sue you.”
The old farmer smiled. “Apparently, you don’t know how we do things in
Tennessee. We settle small disagreements like this with the Tennessee
Three Kick Rule.”
The lawyer asked, “What’s the Tennessee Three Kick Rule?”
The Farmer answered, “Well, first I kick you three times and then you kick
me three times, and so on, back and forth, until someone gives up.”
The attorney thought about the proposed contest and decided that he could
easily take the old codger. He agreed to abide by the local custom.
The old farmer slowly climbed down from the tractor and walked up to the
lawyer. His first kick to the shin had the lawyer hopping around on one
foot when suddenly the farmer planted the toe of his heavy work boot
into the lawyer’s groin and dropped him to his knees. The attorney was
flat on his belly when the farmer’s third kick to a kidney nearly
caused him to pass out.
The lawyer summoned every bit of his will and managed to get to his feet and said,
“Okay, you old coot, now it’s my turn.”
The old farmer smiled and said, “Naw, I give up. You can have the duck.

Secret Garden Party got ducked.
Posted by admin | Filed under News
Oh yes it did.
A fantastic weekend, in which the duck was truly accepted for the fun loving idiot he is.
We erected 16 large wooden cutouts around the site as well as giving out countless stickers & decorating every bin with a character.
What overjoyed us most was that by Sunday all ducks had been removed by festival goers, taken into their experiences and hearts. (mad props to whoever managed to remove the ninja from the lake… hope he was worth getting wet for!)
Top moments for us:
- Seeing Ziggy Starduck being paraded in someones backpack, dressed up in a tie
- Finding EveDuck at the front of the Officers mess stage
- The inspired pigeon wrestling adaptation of “free hugs”
For now all I can manage is to borrow a photo from facebook… more to follow!
(and please submit any you took to duck@freerangeduck.com)

The A-Z of duck Haiku
Posted by admin | Filed under News
LOVE this!
I would never have expected duck poetry & I can’t believe how many of these are right on the mark.
And any excuse to use “Defenestration” more!
Big thanks to Jasp and friends for this one.
The A-Z Duck Haiku
Anticipation:
Not having a duck just yet,
(but one is nearby).
Black and white wall duck,
Captivates wide eyed clubber.
Appears to say “hi”
Cultured duck travels,
Taking in the varied sights.
Likes taking pictures.
Ducks are animals.
I keep forgetting, thinking,
Rave accoutrement.
Ducks: an easier
friendship proposition than
people (but more poo).
Elongated duck.
Symbol nor reality.
Symbolic of duck..
Fanatical duck,
Yearns to share message within.
Quack quack quack. At peace.
Gregarious duck.
Life and soul of the party,
So effortlessly.
Hello, I want duck.
Where you live, in the UK?
Yes. Please post to me.
I ran out of ducks.
Overreaction perhaps:
Defenestration.
Just one more, just one.
Alright then. Here. Take this one.
Stop duck addiction!
Kiss duck make happy.
Stick duck sticker please hippy
Ducks just like verbs nouns.
Lamp post, pill box, wall;
Atypical environs
for the humble duck.
Mountainous regions
Put off 3D ducks, but now,
Ripe for invasion.
New to duck project?
Imagine ducks everywhere.
Make reality.
Oh woah-oh woah-oh
Mysterious duck, I wan-
-na get close to you
Orange waterwings
are not required for this bird
He floats unaided
People laugh and point,
“Whats that doing there?” they ask,
Duck winks, knowingly.
Quack quack (quack); quack quack?
quack quack – quack quack, quack quack/quack
Quack quack! Quack, quack quack.
Restless duck wonders,
Where will I find the answer,
In the meantime, smiles.
Subliminal bill
Haven’t i seen you before?
Under the radar
Tyrannical duck
Aims at world domination
Whilst stuck to the wall
They’re walking around!
Giving away these stickers!
They’re ducks! Fucking ducks!
Unusually terse,
The ducks message is simple.
Just look at the duck
Vanity project
Spread the duck across the world
Hee-hee! We did that!
Why you doing this?
Question mark meets bafflement.
We turn to the duck
Xylophone silent.
Duck likes plinky plonky sounds.
Lakeside memories.
Yellow handled face
dips below the ripples, lo…
Yellow floppy base
Zany escapades
Unfold before watching duck
Smiles approvingly

Mr Mc Duck is now my constant companion on the reg M6 journey from oxford to Scotland, very cultural he is too, likes to stop off for a wee dram ,visit galleries, ..have now done , Kelvingrove and the Burrell, visited Torrance castle and park (my home town), pic of Eillen Donnan castle is just the wish list for next trip!!, he has a perm home on the dashboard, and is much loved by all including my parents. Looking forward to leaving lost of Autographs on future trips, contemplating taking him to Oz next month, he can be a bit grumpy on long haul, but as long as there is good dance music to swish his kilt to is fine.

The QR duck sticker
Posted by admin | Filed under News
Some of you may have been wondering what the strange black and white grid was on our latest sticker – well, it’s a QR code!
Taken from wikipedia
A QR Code is a matrix code (or two-dimensional bar code) created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994. The “QR” is derived from “Quick Response”, as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed. QR Codes are common in Japan where they are currently the most popular type of two dimensional code.
So what does that mean? – it means you can hide words, sentences and even direct URL links.
So how can you read the codes? This is the best bit, anyone can download a small barcode reader onto their camera phone – then you simply scan the barcode and see what’s hidden!
Head over to KAYWA for their free reader.
Send us over an email to get your batch of new free QR code stickers.
